Animal of the Month

Update: Hennnessy Adopted!
Hennessy's Story
This is Hennessy, the Youth Group's Animal of the Month. Hennessy is a two year-old pit-bull. She is the dog that has been at the RISPCA the longest, out of the dogs that are there now. She's been here since June 20th, 2008! Her last owner could not keep her because she was moving. Hennessy is a very playful dog. She loves ropes and balls. She plays soccer! She is very sweet, and extremely bright. She loves long walks and running, and chasing birds and squirrels. She's incredibly active, and she gets very excited.
Even though she's so active, she is still an excellent dog to watch television with. She's a great cuddler. She loves hugs and kisses, and she's a great foot warmer!
However, she is a pit-bull, and that makes some people nervous. She does have a rather dominate characteristic to her, so she does not like sharing her toys. She is extremely aware of her surrounding, but that makes her a great alarm system!
Hennessy is currently earning her AKC Canine Good Citizen Certificate; she participates in this class every Thursday with Pony, another pit-bull, who has been at the RISPCA for much too long. She can sit, lie down, and is learning "walk nice", or to walk without pulling on the leash.
Hennessy is an amazing dog, who deserves a home not a kennel. Please help her get one!
