	Sandy was seized as part of a cruelty investigation, along with her 4 puppies, 2 other adults, and 25 cats. She had been kept tied to a tree for 2 years and had given birth at the end of a rope. Her new family have worked on her behavior and fear for about 1 year, and she has really overcome alot. So much so, that it is a possibility that Sandy may do pet therapy work in the future. This extremely gentle dog shares her home with 2 children , a rabbit, and cat.

	We received a call from a social worker in Providence who found two kittens abandoned in a stairwell. She brought the kittens to us, and we found that one had a rubber band tied in such a way that it could only have been intentional. It was so tight and had been on for so long that the kitten's leg had to be amputated. Although he was just a kitten and had been through so much, Rainbow had the will to survive, recovered and was adopted by a loving home.
