Veterinary Services

Through The Marvin Fund, the Rhode Island SPCA is able to help defray veterinary costs and services for some elderly and disabled pet owners who otherwise could not afford them.

Boarding

The Rhode Island SPCA can board your dog while you are away. The cost is $16 a day, subject to availability. You will need to call ahead to set up an appointment, space is limited, so be sure to schedule in advance. On the day you drop off your dog, you will need to arrive early to fill out some paper work and bring proof of up to date vaccinations.

Canine Obedience Training

The Rhode Island SPCA offeres a variety of canine training classes and puppy play groups. Contact our trainer, Heidi D'Ascoli, at training@rispca.com for more information.

Humane Euthanasia and Cremation

The Rhode Island SPCA offers humane euthanasia and cremation services for elderly and severely ill pets. Please contact the RISPCA for costs and more information.

Support Group for Grieving Pet Owners

The Rhode Island SPCA announces a weekly support group for Pet Owners of ailing, sick or recently deceased pets. This informal group will meet every Saturday, in the Auditorium, from 10am – 11:30. The shelter is located at 186 Amaral Street, Riverside RI 02915
Hosted by caring volunteers, it is a chance for pet owners to get together, and share in the grieving process of losing a companion such as a cat or a dog.
