Hi! A year ago in April I adopted Mugsy (cat) from you. He was a 14lb very shy, very skittish 3yr old. The vet believed he is at least part Maine coon, and he certainly displays many of those traits. I knew he would take a bit of time, and tlc, but he really seemed at ease and secure. Then in August I adopted Millie- a 9wk old kitten from another shelter. Millie did all the hissing, Mugsy was very patient. He watched her like a hawk, and being a little kitty she most definitely was into everything, and when he saw she "didn't get into trouble" HE began to chase the balls, and the toys, and even each other. She brought out his "inner kitty," and she couldn't ask for a better big brother--as you can see. He's about 20lbs now..(shes 10) and very smart and loving- he's great (sometimes she gets the bed first even though there ISmore than one, they seem to prefer that one...not that he fits, but appearently thats not an issue for him!).
